چکیده
We calculate the rates of the radiative transitions np → 1s+γ in kaonic hydrogen and kaonic deuterium, induced by strong low–energy interactions and enhanced by Coulomb interactions. The obtained results should be taken into account for the theoretical analysis of the experimental data on the X–ray spectra and yields in kaonic atoms. We compute the energy level displacement of the excited np states of kaonic hydrogen within the quantum field theoretic and relativistic covariant model of strong low–energy K̄N interactions suggested in EPJA 21, 11 (2004). For the width of the energy level of the excited 2p state of kaonic hydrogen, caused by strong low–energy interactions, we find Γ2p = 2meV = 3 × 1012 sec−1. This result is im...

We calculate the in-medium D meson self-energies in a hot pion gas induced by resonance interactions with pions. The appropriate resonances in the s, p and d waves of the D meson-pion pair are represented by low lying scalar, vector and tensor D∗ mesons. At temperatures around 200 MeV the D-meson mass drops by 30 MeV and the scattering width grows up to 60 MeV. Similar medium effects are found ...

The low-energy behavior of the astrophysical S-factor for E1 direct radiative captures a(p,γ)b leading to loosely bound final states (b=a+p) is investigated. We derive a first-order integral representation for S(E) and focus on the properties around zero energy. We show that it is the competition between various effects, namely the remnant Coulomb barrier, the initial and final centrifugal barr...
